- What's the unit in the closet or attic called?- It's the evaporator section; it has the blower and cooling coils in it for A/C. 
- How often should I have my unit serviced?- You should have it serviced twice a year. Once for a preseason check for summer on A/C and another for prewinter for your heating. 
- Why does my unit not seem to do anything?- Put the fan switch to the "on" position, it should start blowing. If it does not, check your breakers. Call us for further assistance! 
- Where are my breakers?- You may have two breakers in the house's electric panel. You might also have some on the indoor unit of your system. 
- We had a power outage and now my unit is not running?- Power issues can damage relays and capacitors. You may need to have a tech check your system to look for signs of damage. 
- Does Snowman Services accept any money transfer (mobile payment) apps?- We accept Zelle. We also accept traditional credit cards, checks and cash. 
- Are new A/C systems changing to a new refrigerant?- Yes, both A/C and refrigeration systems are changing to new units. 
- Why are the refrigerants changing?- The EPA currently is trying to reduce greenhouse gases. The new refrigerants are all much lower in greenhouse gas potential. 
- What are SEER ratings?- The efficiency rating of your system. The higher the number the higher the efficiency and the lesser amount of electricity it will use.
